www.sacredheartcommunityservice.org Founded in 1964, Sacred Heart Community Service is a non-denominational 501c(3) organization based in San Jose with a vision of a community united to ensure that every child and adult is free from poverty. Its mission is to change lives and impact poverty by providing essential services, offering tools for self-sufficiency, and ministering with dignity, compassion and respect. The organization engages the community, and inspires volunteers to love, serve, and share. We are currently seeking volunteers to support our on-going programs in the Pantry, Clothes Closet, and Welcome Center. Each month these programs work to meet the needs of over 20,000 low-income by providing basic needs - food and clothing assistance. Anyone who can give, one morning or afternoon a week is especially invited to help us continue to make a difference in the lives of working poor families in San Jose.
