- the first truly distributed and comprehensive notification management platform
designed to meet the needs of our enterprise, workgroup, and ASP clients. Argus
is the software application that consists of the collection of software components
that enable the process of sending targeted notifications (aka delivery tasks)
via PSTN, email, and SMS. Systems that are capable of executing delivery tasks
are referred to as delivery mechanisms - they can interface with Argus in order
to perform delivery tasks. At the lowest level, a delivery mechanism has a pool
of available delivery resources. These systems include:
* IVR
* PBX
* SMTP Server
* SMS Gateways
The main objective behind Argus is to create a message that can be transported
over to an appropriate delivery mecahnism that, in turn, would pass it to recipients.
Argus can monitors all available delivery mechanisms’ task progress and
ensures that the assigned resources actually perform as expected.
