ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN I/II
Lower Peninsula/West Valley Watershed Field Operations Unit
DUTIES:
To plan, prepare, and schedule the civil maintenance activities for an assigned
Watershed. Activities may include construction projects and field inspections;
to coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and
the general public; and to provide responsible staff assistance to the Field
Operations Administrator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Engineering Technician I: No experience is required. Engineering
Technician II: One year of experience equivalent to the Engineering Technician
I level and Training: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented
by college level course work in engineering, geography, mathematics, or a related
field.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California drivers
license may be required with determinations made on a case by case basis. Prior
to appointment, candidates will be required to successfully pass a medical examination.

SALARY:
$3,975.47 - $4,843.71 per month (Engineering Technician I) - Based on a five-step
salary plan
$4,388.17 - $5,346.55 per month (Engineering Technician II) - Based on a five-step
salary plan
Includes District payment of 8% PERS - Public Employees= Retirement System
