Water Measurement
Technician I
Job Description:
To perform technical duties in support of the District’s water measurement
services program; to install, maintain and repair a variety of complex water
meters and related equipment and facilities; to perform field investigations,
read meters or gather data to validate water measurements; to perform water meter
testing, calibration, measurement, field surveillance and sampling duties; and
to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
Experience/Skills:
Experience: One year of water meter reading experience is desirable and Training:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. The ability to lift items
weighing up to 35 lbs. Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid
California driver’s license may be required with determinations made on
a case by case basis. Prior to appointment, candidates will be required to successfully
complete a medical examination.

Salary:
$4,176.73 - $5,088.94 per month—Based on a five-step salary plan. Includes
District payment of 8% PERS—Public Employees’ Retirement System
