Senior Manager of Guest Experience
The Senior Manager of Guest Experience is responsible for leading efforts
to provide an exceptional guest experience in line with the aquarium's strategic
goals. This encompasses training and managing staff who enhance the guest experience
through ticketing, greeting and orientation, the information desk, guest programs,
volunteer and student guides.
Ensure appropriate training, role modeling and
mentoring of Guest Experience Managers is in place for them to be successful
leaders of the Guest Experience team. With Guest Experience managers, create
a team that ensures the guest experience vision is realized: model and coach
staff on effective guest service and staff management practices. Develop budgets
and provide financial oversight assistance for programs and activities. Ensure
service and programs are evaluated regularly and modified as appropriate. With
division VP, lead departmental strategic planning efforts and serve as a key
member of management in strategy and operations decision-making. Bachelor's degree
in a relevant field. Seven to ten years progressive management experience in
guest service operations and/or public program development and delivery. Excellent
leadership, interpersonal, and written and oral communications skills. Demonstrated
ability to build and lead a team of creative, diverse staff. Management knowledge
required.
